Valued Members Of The Community
Both attorney Johnston and attorney McLean are well-known and respected in the community. Our relationships within the legal community are an asset in pursuing the most favorable outcome for our clients.
Mr. Johnston’s family roots in Texas go back to 1840. His father Wilson Johnston served as a prosecutor in the Dallas District Attorney’s office. William followed his father into the law and was named the first federal prosecutor designated to serve the Central Texas area. He served in that capacity for more than 13 years, supervising all of the counter-drug efforts for the United States Attorney along the 500-mile Texas-Mexico border. During his career as an Assistant United States Attorney, Johnston prosecuted more than 1500 federal defendants, including three “Top 15” fugitives. He has handled complex civil litigation for more than 30 years. Over the course of his career, he has gained a reputation for using the law to solve murders, fraud cases and to find missing persons. Three of his cases have been the subject of cover stories for Texas Monthly magazine. His work on the case of Texas serial killer Kenneth Allen McDuff was chronicled in the book “Bad Boy: The True Story of Kenneth Allen McDuff, the Most Notorious Serial Killer in Texas History,” by Gary Lavergne.
Prior to his career as an attorney, Calvin McLean spent more than 10 years as a police narcotics investigator; he was also a patrol officer and a field training officer and served as a combat medic in the army for four years. He has investigated complex cases involving organized crime and has authored state and federal search and arrest warrants. He understands how the prosecution works and uses that advantage for his clients.
